Why
Tea bags may be made from paper, plastic fibers, or a blend of both, and often include a staple or string. If your tea bags are 100% plastic free, then you can place in your FOGO bin. Tea leaves can also be placed in your FOGO bin.
Did You Know
Even “paper” tea bags can contain a small amount of plastic to help seal them, which means they may not fully break down in compost.
